Introduction:
The St.Thomas Centre building, located at Babusahebpalya (approx 4 kms from the BEMTC) is a multi-purpose community centre of the Bangalore East Mar Thoma Church.
The building comprises of a hall and balcony (4200 sqft), and can seat about 600 persons. A service hall/catering hall is attached to the main hall.
It also has 1 conference room, 1 clinic room, a 2 room with toilet and kitchen accomodation, and 10 independent rooms with attached toilets. It has an elevator. About 40 cars can be parked in the compound. The total area is about 14000 sq ft. The roof top is 5475 sq.ft in area and can be used for further construction.
Aims and Objectives of the St.Thomas Centre:-
The primary purpose of the St.Thomas Centre is to support charitable activities of the Bangalore East Mar Thoma Church. The main hall will be rented out to the public for marriage receptions, meetings, conferences, and christian worship, and will generate revenue to the BEMTC.
It can also be used for BEMTC worship service, and BEMTC church activities.
The St.Thomas Centre will be used to serve the community, and will have the facility to provide medical facilities for the poor and needy. It will also function as a day care centre for the elderly.
